Summary: PrintableGenie is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the minimum data required to verify your software license and automate sequential workflow turns inside your authorized ChatGPT session. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

1. Overview & Single-Purpose Statement

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, handling, storage, and sharing of information by the PrintableGenie Chrome extension ("the Extension") and the associated PrintableGenie services hosted at printablegenie.web.app ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our").

The single purpose of the Extension is to automate multi-page DALL-E image generation and asset compilation workflows for digital product creators using the official PrintableGenie Custom GPT on OpenAI's ChatGPT web interface (chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com).

2. Information We Collect

We collect and handle only the following categories of information strictly necessary to provide the Extension's core functionality:

A. User-Provided Account & License Information

Email Address / Purchase License Identifier: When you activate the Extension popup, you enter your purchase email address to verify your active PrintableGenie license status. This email is stored locally in your browser and checked against our license verification database.

B. Local Extension Preferences (Settings)

Workflow Configuration Toggles: User-selected settings such as Auto-Chain ON/OFF, Generate Mockups ON/OFF, Auto-Publish to Etsy ON/OFF, and Video/Flipbook/Pages toggle preferences are stored locally on your device via the chrome.storage.local API.

C. Real-Time On-Page DOM Workflow Context

ChatGPT Response Completion Signals: The Extension’s content script inspects the active document structure on authorized OpenAI pages (chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com) exclusively to detect PrintableGenie stage completion tags (e.g., [PG1: BLUEPRINT_READY], [PG2: PAGE_RECORDED], [PG8: VIDEO_BG_RECORDED]). This allows the Extension to determine when DALL-E has finished generating an image and submit the next sequential command automatically.

D. What We NEVER Collect

We DO NOT collect or inspect your browsing history, browsing habits, or activity on any websites other than authorized ChatGPT tabs.
We DO NOT read, capture, or store personal conversations or chat history unrelated to PrintableGenie workflow tags.
We DO NOT collect keystrokes outside the prompt input textarea.
We DO NOT collect payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or government identifiers.
We DO NOT collect device location coordinates or biometric data.

3. How We Handle & Use Collected Data

We use the data collected strictly for the following purposes:

Workflow Automation: Automating the entry of subsequent prompt instructions into the ChatGPT prompt box to generate sequential printable pages, lifestyle mockups, 3D flipbook assets, and listing copy.
License Verification: Confirming active user purchase entitlement status via secure HTTPS requests to our verification API endpoint (https://printablegenie.web.app/api/verify_license).
Single-Flight State Synchronization: Associating generated project output packages (such as 300 DPI PDFs and Master ZIP bundles) with your verified account for access and download.

5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosures

Data is transferred only to essential, trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform:

Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform: Provides secure cloud database hosting, serverless compute functions, and encrypted object storage for generated printable files. All data is processed in compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 security standards.
OpenAI (ChatGPT): Interactions on chatgpt.com occur directly within your own authenticated browser session subject to OpenAI's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The Extension only sends text prompts to the prompt input on your behalf.
Etsy Open API v3 (Optional): If you explicitly choose to connect your Etsy shop for 1-click draft staging, OAuth 2.0 PKCE tokens are encrypted with AES-256 and used strictly to stage draft product listings in your authorized shop.

6. Chrome Web Store Policy & Permissions Justification

In accordance with the Google Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, the Extension requests only the minimum necessary permissions required for its single purpose:

storage: Used strictly to save user interface settings (e.g., auto-chain toggles) and verified user email locally on the user's computer via chrome.storage.local.
host_permissions (https://chatgpt.com/*, https://chat.openai.com/*): Required to inspect DOM tags generated by the PrintableGenie Custom GPT and programmatically submit the next workflow prompt in the chat box.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use Disclosure:
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The Extension does not transfer user data to third parties for advertising or credit-worthiness determination.

7. User Control, Opt-Out & Data Deletion Rights

You have complete control over your data at all times:

Local Data Removal: You can clear all local storage by clicking "Disconnect / Reset" in the extension popup or by uninstalling the Extension from chrome://extensions.
Server Data Deletion: To request the permanent deletion of your project records, generated archives, or account records from our cloud database, email us at support.printablegenie@gmail.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". We will process and confirm your request within 7 business days.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

PrintableGenie is designed for digital product creators, educators, and entrepreneurs. Our Extension and services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements.
